TeleForm Testing

  1. Confirm the Auto Export (Primary and/or Secondary) is defined correctly. If not, define the Auto Export and save the form.
  2. Create a test set by printing 10 or more copies of the form. Be sure to print them using the same process that will be used to produce the production form.
  3. Fill out the forms using all possible combinations. Make sure to include a bad, normal and perfect scenario in the test set.
  4. Scan or Fax the form using the same scanner or fax machine that will be used in production.
    1. If you will be scanning directly into TeleForm Reader during production, do so during the test.
    2. If a Fax server is to be used to receive faxes, be sure to have the correct configuration set up for the tests.
  5. Allow TeleForm Reader to evaluate the incoming images.
  6. Correct the received and evaluated images in TeleForm Verifier.
    1. While correcting the images look for fields that always come up for review. This could be an indication that the definition of the field should be checked. Sometimes modifying a field can improve recognition. Look for other possible problems during Verification.
  7. The status bar of the Verifier will indicate why a field has been displayed. These messages can indicate what is happening with the form’s images during evaluation.
    1. When the prompt “Save corrections and export data” is reached and answered with a “Yes”.
  8. Check the Auto Export database to confirm the database file, table, or sheet was created successful.
  9. Confirm all the fields were exported as defined.
  10. Confirm that all the records contain data as they should.
